SGP OP7 focused on fostering partnerships across a wide spectrum of stakeholders, ranging from CBOs and NGOs, marginalised indigenous communities, to the private sector and public institutions. The SGP-OP8 will focus strongly on building partnerships for replication and upscaling, which is to take place through co-financing partnerships with the private sector and the government. Through access to hybrid grants and micro-lending schemes, the project will support the replication, upscaling and sustainability of the activities to be undertaken by the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). Training would also be delivered to Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) through Self-Help Group (SHG) modalities and other approaches, specifically targeting women and other marginalised groups. There would also be a call for proposals on community grants for scaling up and replication of good models and practices.
The CBOs will also be trained on collecting, recording and documenting knowledge and experiences on community development initiatives. Knowledge sharing and replication will help ensure that the impacts of the project are sustained and expanded, generating additional environmental benefits over the longer term.
