Biodiversity Conservation

Biodiversity Conservation aims to protect the Earth’s diversity in all its forms - species, ecosystems and genetic - through the conservation & sustainable management of biological resources.

Biodiversity, today, is vulnerable to various threats such as changing land use patterns, overexploitation of natural resources and changing climate trends.

The project aims to promote sustainable agroecological practices, encourage diversification, and restore degraded lands and water bodies. Community projects shall focus on achieving land degradation neutrality by the creation of additional carbon sinks, enabling interventions for upscaling landscape-wide practices, and mainstreaming sustainable management of resources through local governments, and financing the protection of forest areas and water bodies while creating livelihood opportunities for men and women, including the marginalised tribal communities.
